New Authorization for Dues Deduction

Dear Nurses in the Collective Bargaining Unit,

As has been shared, the two (2) Districts which made up VISNA have been merged into ONE state association with ONE entry professional dues of $9.37. This action also clarifies that entry into the association is by VISNA/ANA membership ONLY. Membership in the CBU is a benefit or service the professional association offers to eligible members at the current Service Fee of $20. Nurses now paying the CBU Service Fee of $20.00 only are asked to authorize the additional professional dues of $9.37. The document is attached for your awareness and will be made fillable or available in known locations. Some of the benefits of your professional dues are the said CBU, access to the vast resources of ANA as an ANA member to include free access to educational offerings, professional liability, representation at the senate, partnership with the UVI School of Nursing and VI Board of Nurse Licensure, partnership with local businesses, recognition during special events such as Nurses' Month/Week, VISNA delegate to the ANA and Caribbean Nurses Organization (CNO) governance meetings, election to office in either of these entities.
