HAPPY NURSES’S DAY
Posted over 3 years ago by Evet Rivera
Happy Nurses’s Day to all Registered Professional Nurses in the Virgin Islands .On behalf of the Executive and Board of Directors I wish to extend greetings to all our dedicated colleagues as we celebrate a week/month set aside to honor and recognize Nurses for all we do.
The past two years were and remain very trying for the profession, nurses are burnt out and are leaving the profession daily. I salute each and everyone of your for your dedication to your profession and the community that we serve. The working conditions are not of the best but you continue to give of your best for your patients, their families and love one. Horses have sacrificed times with their own families tin order to provide the care and meet the needs of our communities.
I ask of you , in all that you do remember to self care, take time to be good to yourself, surround yourself with positivity and even though it may look hopeless, at the end of it all you can proudly say in spite of everything that happened today I gave my best to my patients.
Let us join together and celebrate our profession and each other , things are not what it should be , but continue the fight and remember VISNA is working for you and we need to work together as a team because their is strength in unity.
I encourage every one to avail themselves of the offerings that are posted on the VISNA and ANA websites. Interesting things are happening.
Finally I am inviting everyone to the church services that will be held on all three islands on Sunday May 15th 2022. The services will be held at the Methodist Churches beginning @ 8am on St Croix , 9am on St Thomas and St John’s.
On behalf of the Executive, Board of Directors and my self I wish a Happy NURSES DAY/WEEK/MONTH to everyone.
